3 Course Paleo Meal to Spice up Your Night

 

 

There’s nothing sexier than someone who can cook. Even better if that someone also cares about healthy living. Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that the Paleo Diet is all the rage right now. I’ve personally lived a strict Paleo lifestyle for four years, and not only has it kept me lean, but I have limitless amounts of energy and feel better than I’ve ever felt in my life. If you’re a fellow Paleo devotee or someone who just wants to look and feel amazing great, try this 3 course Paleo meal to cook for your date.

 

Appetizer: Carrot Chips

 

Prep time: 5 min

Cook time: 15 min

Total time: 20 mins

Serves 2

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1-2 teaspoons of coconut oil
  • Pinch of Himalayan Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

 

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
  • Toss carrots with spices and oil
  • Transfer to baking sheet in a single layer
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until brown. 
  • Remove from oven. Drizzle extra oil onto carrot chips.
  • Serve immediately.

Entree: Grass-fed Burgers

 

Prep time: 10 min

Cook time: 30 min

Total time: 40 min

Serves 2

 

Ingredients:

  • 1lb bison/grass-fed beef
  • Kale
  • Mushrooms
  • Onions
  • Fermented pickles
  • Fermented sauerkraut
  • Tomatoes
  • Beets
  • Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • Coconut Oil or Grass-fed Butter

 

Preparation:

 

  • Dice mushrooms, onions, and beets.
  • Grill them on medium heat in coconut oil or grass-fed butter until browned.
  • Form bison meat into 4 patties.
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder.
  • Grill bison meat in grass-fed butter on medium heat, 4 minutes each side.
  • Add raw kale, fermented pickles, fermented sauerkraut, tomatoes, and top it off with hot sauce.
  • Serve immediately.

Dessert: Kefir Parfait

 

Prep time: 5 min

Total time: 5 min

Serves 1

 

Ingredients:

  • Organic Kefir
  • Organic Blueberries
  • Organic Strawberries
  • Organic Raisins
  • Pecans
  • Walnuts
  • Organic Raw Cacao Nibs
  • Raw Honey

 

Preparation:

  • Add handful of blueberries, raisins
  • Pour in 4 fl oz of kefir
  • Add honey
  • Pour in remaining kefir
  • Top it off with a handful of cacao nibs, sliced strawberries, raisins, pecans, and walnuts
  • Enjoy!
